Located on the south-side of Maui is Wailea, a luxury resort community famed for its million-dollar views and extravagant ocean-front properties. When staying in Wailea you can’t help to feel a sense of elegance, privacy and serenity.
Being a 35-minute drive from Kahului Airport, I recommend hiring a vehicle upon arrival otherwise book a private car/driver to take you to your accommodation. I went with the later and hired a driver named John from Royal Taxi 24 Hour Service (Tel: 808.298.3737) who was a very friendly local and provided great conversation and tips on what to see and do on Maui. One of the must-do attractions mentioned was to discover Maui’s famed scenic drive being Road to Hana.
So, if you’re after a luxury getaway featuring private beaches, ocean front pools with cocktail service, spa treatments and fine-dining, then Wailea is a place to visit.
